about usMilestones

The Hudson Valley Mechanical Contractors Association traces it heritage back to three organizations; the Westchester County Council of Master Plumbers (1949), the Mechanical Contractors Association (MCA) of Westchester County (1956), and the Mechanical Contractors Association of Dutchess County (1967).

In 1986, the two Westchester-based associations merged to become the Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Association (PMCA) of Westchester and Putnam Counties. And in 2004 when the MCA of Dutchess merged with the PMCA the name was further changed to reflect its larger territory - Westchester, Putnam, Dutchess and Ulster - becoming the PMCA of the Hudson Valley.

Finally, in 2008, it adopted the name it bears today, Hudson Valley Mechanical Contractors Association, to underscore the relationship with its national affiliate, and to emphasize the broad and versatile base of its constituency.
